• Sergej Rachmaninow — Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, op. 18
• Nikolai Rimski-Korsakow — Scheherazade, op. 35

Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto features profound melancholic melodies, performed by soloist Simon Bürki. The evening closes with Rimski-Korsakov’s spectacular Scheherazade, a suite that brings the magic of fairy tales to life through dazzling orchestral colour.
